Can "djk123" Win His Third WCOOP Bracelet?Published on 2009-09-22 01:15:00
The final table of the 2009 WCOOP main event is now set, and Dan "djk123" Kelly is in excellent shape to take down his third WCOOP bracelet.
Kelly is currently on the heater of a lifetime, having already won two WCOOP events this year ($10k HORSE and $215 RAZZ). As far as I know, "djk123" would be the first player to ever win three WCOOP bracelets if he takes down the main event later tonight.
Winning three bracelets overall is a ridiculous enough accomplishment, but winning three bracelets in the SAME YEAR would be a nearly impossible feat to duplicate. Kelly's performance in the 2009 WCOOP is just a testament to how good of a poker player he is.
Having said that, winning the WCOOP main event won't be an easy task. "djk123" currently has the chip lead heading into the final table, but there are a number of very good players who also managed to make it to the final table as well.
Yevgeniy "Jovial Gent" Timoshenko and "PeachyMer" are both very good players who will give their opponents fits at the final table. Timoshenko has valuable final table experience under his belt, having won the WPT Championship earlier this year.
Here are the nine players who managed to make it to the final table:
These nine players will be battling it out for the first place prize of over $1.7 million dollars.
We'll have a full recap of the final table on Poker-King.com later tonight.
