Patrik Antonius Up Nearly $500k in "Durrrr" Challenge

patrick antonius with a smile on his face Patrik Antonius and Tom Dwan logged some more hands in the "durrrr" challenge on Sunday. By the end of the session, Patrik's lead in the challenge had widened to approximately $488k.

According to Full Tilt Poker, Dwan and Antonius have played 13,246 of the required 50,000 hands in the challenge.

Antonius is currently up $488,133, which I believe is the biggest lead that either player has had in the challenge.

Dwan has won more hands in the challenge (6,992 compared to 6,211 for Antonius), however Antonius has won more per hand ($2,322.58 vs $1,993.16).

The two players have wagered a total of $81.2 million dollars over a total of 23 sessions so far.

Here is a recap of the two biggest pots from Sunday's session:

1. $174k pot for Dwan.

Antonius is in the SB, while Dwan is in the BB. Antonius has a stack of around $153k, while Dwan has around $87k.

After a bunch of raising pre-flop, there is around $36k in the pot when the flop comes 6-Q-6.

Dwan leads out with a bet of around $14,000, and Antonius elects to make the call.

The turn brings the 10 of spades.

"durrrr" pushes, Antonius calls for time and then elects to make the call.

Dwan shows A-5-A-5 for Aces and Sixes, while Antonius shows K-Q-J-K for Kings and Sixes, as well as a flush and straight draw.

The river is the harmless four of Hearts, and "durrrr" takes down the $174k pot.

2. $161k pot for Antonius.

Antonius is in the SB, while Dwan is in the BB. Antonius has around $109k, while Dwan has around $80k.

After some pre-flop raising, there is $12k in the middle when the flop comes K-4-3 with two clubs.

Dwan leads out with a bet, and Antonius calls.

The turn is the Ace of diamonds.

Dwan checks, Antonius bets around $27k, and Dwan makes the call.

The river is the six of Clubs.

Dwan pushes, and Antonius makes the call after a bit of thought.

Antonius shows A-10-6-A for a set of Aces, while Dwan shows 6-Q-8-5 for a pair of sixes and a missed straight draw.
