Blumstein Takes Massive Chip Lead Into Final Day of Play

The King awaits the final outcome of the 2017 World Series of Poker. With coffee in hand. Can Benjamin Pollak or Dan Ott catch Scott Blumstein in the World Series of Poker main event, or is Blumstein fated to win at this point?

There are currently three players left heading into the final day of the 2017 World Series of Poker main event. Here are the chip counts:

Scott Blumstein, 226,450,000
Dan Ott, 88,375,000
Benjamin Pollak, 45,850,000

All three players are guaranteed $3,500,000 for making it this far, with the eventual winner taking down $8,150,000.

With roughly double the chips of Ott and Pollak combined, Blumstein is obviously the clear favorite to win the WSOP main event.

Here are the current betting odds:

Scott Blumstein, 1/2
Benjamin Pollak, 4/1
Dan Ott, 10/3

Pollak is widely regarded as being the most talented player left in the tournament, though he is going to be severely crippled by his short stack.

With a $1.2 million pay jump between second and third place, you would have to assume that Blumstein will be putting a tremendous amount of pressure on his table mates when action resumes on Saturday night.

While Pollak and Ott are both skilled players, they are going to have a very hard time overcoming Blumstein's massive stack.

I really like Blumstein to take down the tournament at 1/2 - I think that there is value in this number, as Blumstein's massive stack should give him plenty of opportunity to bully his table mates.
