Aria Poker - Hotel logo in black on white. The year is 2017.Antanas Guoga, aka "Tony G", recently made a triumphant return to the poker world after taking down a $25,000 High Roller event at the ARIA for $353,280.

In 2014, Tony G was elected as a member of the European Parliament for Lithuania. At the time, Tony G said that he was done with poker and was going to be focusing on politics instead. Things have changed, however, and Tony G looks to be putting in a full summer of poker.

Tony G, who founded PokerNews.com in 2002, has already stated his plans to play in the upcoming $300,000 Super High Roller Bowl at the ARIA. Tony G will be battling against the likes of Daniel Negreanu, Fedor Holz and Antonio Esfandiari as he attempts to take down the $6,000,000 first place prize.

In addition, G will almost certainly be sticking around to play in the bigger World Series of Poker events, as the series gets underway in just a couple of days.

At one point, Tony G was one of the most controversial figures in the world of poker, as he was well-known for aggressively berating his opponents at the table.

Somewhere along the line, Tony G decided that he was needed in the world of politics and elected to leave the game of poker behind.

Poker is still in Tony G's blood, however, and he has made his public return to the game in Las Vegas. So far the early returns are positive, as he was already able to bank a $353,280 win in a $25,000 High Roller event.

Love him or hate him, Tony G is back.
