Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure - PCA - 2015 - Logo and AdAsk professional poker players what their favorite month of the year is and many will say January.

The reason? Two of the most popular stops on the "live" poker tour - the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) and Aussie Millions - take place in January. For players who are currently suffering through the cold winter months in their home countries, the warm climates of the Bahamas and Australia offer a welcome respite.

The 2015 PCA is set to get underway later this week. The $100,000 No Limit Hold'em Super High Roller event will kick things off on Tuesday, January 6th, while the $10,000 main event will get underway on January 8th.

The PCA is always well attended and this year should be no different. Many of poker's top players, including Daniel Negreanu, will be attending the event. Here is what Negreanu had to say about it on Twitter:

"Leaving Toronto for Bahamas to play two tourneys, the $100k and the main event. I intend to win both and play in the zone throughout."

Phil Ivey also may be making an appearance while making his journey to Australia for the Aussie Millions:

"I'll be at Aussie Millions for sure after Macau. Considering Bahama's to play the high roller in between."

Even Phil Hellmuth is in the Bahamas right now:

"Got up on a paddle board for the first time: loved it! Meandered around w wifey on a couple boards, crystal clear water, Bahamas #Chillin"

This year's PCA should be a fun event.
