Despite all of the turmoil in the online poker industry over the past six months, the game of poker continues to grow throughout the world.
A record 593 players turned out for this year's World Series of Poker Europe main event, easily smashing the previous attendance record for the event. The 593 player turnout has created a total prize pool of nearly 5.7 million EUR, with the eventual winner of the event taking home 1.4 million EUR.
