thomas bihlThomas Bihl certainly earned the first ever WSOP Europe bracelet, taking down the 2500 pound H.O.R.S.E. event which featured some of the best players in the world. The final table of the event was absolutely stacked, featuring the likes of Jennifer Harman, Chris Ferguson and Joe Beevers.

When the action got down to four handed play, Thomas Bihl was the short-stack at a table that still included the likes of Chris Ferguson and Jennifer Harman.

Ferguson was the first of the four to be eliminated during Stud Hi, as he couldn't improved over Bihl's Kings. At this point, Kirk Morrison had a massive chip lead, and one has to wonder how he didn't finish at least second, considering he had a stack of 685,000 and Jennifer Harman had 75,000 left. Harman slowly and surely came back, and ended up eliminating Kirk Morrison in third place during Stud Hi/Lo.

Bihl finally took down the tournament after 100 hands of heads-up play during the Hold'em portion of the tournament, as he hit a straight on the river and sent Harman packing.

Bihl took down over 70k pounds for the first place finish, and Harman collected over 40k pounds for second place. However Bihl took down the coveted first ever World Series of Poker Europe bracelet.
