Jeff "Actionjeff" Garza had a big week last week.

In case you didn't know, the age to legally gamble in Canada is lower than the age to gamble in Las Vegas. So when the Johnny Chan Poker Classic was announced, all of the "underage" online poker studs, such as Jeff "Actionjeff" Garza and Jimmy "Gobboboy" Fricke made the trek to Vancouver for the events.

Jeff Garza was the big winner, as he took down the $1000 Short-Handed No Limit Hold'em event, taking home a cash of $84,000 (in Canadian.) As far as I know, this is Actionjeff's first big live cash, and probably the first of many.

In addition to that, Jeff decided to sit down and play the nightly $100k guaranteed tournament on Pokerstars while still in Vancouver, and finished second in that event, succumbing to his opponent in heads-up play. Garza, as always, provided the rail with some colorful banter, and of course bemoaned his fate, losing to a "lesser opponent."

With the World Series of Poker quickly approaching, Garza and all of the other underage poker phenoms will no doubt be doing what they do best during the World Series of Poker; playing online during the night, and playing on the swingset during the day.
