The King is looking at a pile of pesosFTOPS XIX Event #24 ($300+$22 NLHE) finished with a total prize pool of $3,402,900, creating the largest prize pool in the history of the FTOPS.

The tournament, which is still in progress as we speak, had a guarantee of $1.5 million.

The event's multi-entry format (players were allowed to purchase a maximum of 6 entries) resulted in a total of 11,343 total entrants, as many players elected to buy in more than once.

The massive prize pool means that the eventual winner of the event will walk away with $527,449.50, while the runner-up will receive $357,304.50.

Event #22 ($120+9 NLHE Knockout) also allowed multiple entries, which helped to create a total prize pool of $2,334,200, which easily topped the $1,000,000 guarantee.

The record for largest ever FTOPS prize pool is not likely to last for long, as the $600+$40 main event next weekend will also allow multiple entries. The guaranteed prize pool for the main event is $3 million, so the prize pool for this event should easily end up topping the $3,402,900 mark.

FTOPS #22 ended up generating over $210k in rake for Full Tilt Poker, while FTOPS #24 ended up generating nearly $250k in rake. These numbers don't include any rake that was generated from satellites.

Many people don't seem to like the multi-entry format, but it has certainly proved to be a lucrative money-maker for Full Tilt Poker since the site introduced it last month.
