"RichieRichZH" Takes Down Over $1.1 Million in Sunday Million

-- Poker King keeping track of tournament scores --Poker players across the world turned out in droves on Sunday to compete in two very big online tournaments - the Sunday Million on Pokerstars and the FTOPS XV main event on Full Tilt Poker.

In total, the two tournaments ended up with approximately 42,000 total registrations, with the lion's share going to the Sunday Million on Pokerstars.

A staggering 36,169 people signed up to play in the Sunday Million on Pokerstars. Yesterday's event featured a guaranteed prize pool of $4 million to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the tournament, as well as the fact that the 40 billionth hand was recently dealt on the site.

The event ended up with an astonishing 36,169 players, meaning that the prize pool soared to over $7.2 million.

The eventual winner of the event, "RichieRichZH", ended up taking home more than $1.1 million for his victory. Surprisingly, there was no chop at the final table, meaning that "RichieRichZH" walked away with the entire first place prize.

"lankeshwar" ended up finishing in second place for $754,775, while "petinvest7" finished in third for $506,366.

5,645 players turned out for the main event of FTOPS XV on Full Tilt Poker yesterday, creating a prize pool of well over $2.8 million.

"JackQKA" ended up winning the tournament early on Monday morning, taking home more than $237k for his efforts.

There was a massive seven-player chop at the final table that resulted in the top seven finishers all receiving at least $172k.

The original first place prize was over $482k.
