-- poker king in his trademark thinking pose --The mystery of who is behind the "martonas" alias on Full Tilt Poker still hasn't been solved yet, but here are a few things that we know for sure:

1. "martonas" will play anyone.

2. The best players in the world continue to line up to play "martonas".

In the past few days, "martonas" has played epic matches against some of the best poker players in the world, including Tom "durrrr" Dwan, Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius.

In the first half of August, "martonas" went on a serious run in the high stakes games on Full Tilt Poker, banking an impressive $2.4 million dollars over just 11,143 hands.

When "martonas" would sit, the tables would immediately fill up. His opponents did not seem to have much respect for his game. They smelled blood and were circling, waiting for the inevitable meltdown.

Tom "durrrr" Dwan took the step of actually depositing money onto Full Tilt Poker so that he could properly battle it out with "martonas". According to "durrrr", this was just his second deposit ever.

Dwan and "martonas" were soon involved in an epic heads-up $500/$1000 NLHE battle. Multiple tables of $500/$1000 NLHE were running at the same time, and there was millions of dollars on the table.

"martonas" quickly got the upper hand in the match, but Dwan came roaring back.

When all was said and done, Dwan had banked a $2 million dollar win.

Had "martonas" finally cracked?

Much to his credit, "martonas" continued to battle on. Dwan and "martonas" decided to play some $500/$1000 PLO, and "martonas" was able to win nearly a million dollars back. According to HighStakesDB.com, "martonas" had been down nearly $3 million dollars on the day before staging a late comeback.

So what do you do after having an epic battle against one of the best poker players in the world?

Most people would call it a day - however, "martonas" decided to keep playing.

"martonas" and Phil Ivey proceeded to battle it out in heads up PLO action, with "martonas" eventually booking a win of nearly $500k.

According to HighstakesDB, "martonas" had managed to pare his losses to "just" $859k after being down nearly $3 million dollars earlier in the day.

On Wednesday, Brian Hastings and "martonas" battled it out in some heads up, $500/$1000 NLHE action.

Both players were sitting on some impressive stacks, but at the end of the battle, Hastings emerged as the winner, banking nearly $700k in profits.

After battling it out against some of the best players in the world and suffering through a jaw-dropping downswing at the hands of "durrrr", "martonas" is still up for the month of August.

Let's hope that "martonas" continues to stick around on Full Tilt Poker, as the games have been completed reinvigorated with him in the lineup.
