Ilari Sahamies Up Big on Pokerstars This Month

Ilari "Ilari FIN" Sahamies is poised to become the first online cash game player to post a seven figure profit in a single month since Full Tilt Poker shut their doors in late June.
Sahamies, who plays as "Ilari FIN" on Pokerstars and "Ziigmund" on Full Tilt Poker, has been running red hot on Pokerstars in the month of August.
According to HighStakesDB.com, "Ilari FIN" destroyed Viktor "Isildur1" Blom earlier today, taking nearly $500k from the Swedish phenom in a single session.
From August 1-24, Sahamies was the biggest winner on Pokerstars, racking up a total profit of $925,242 over a total of 14,533 tracked hands. Combine that with the destruction of Blom early Thursday morning, and "Ilari FIN" should be up well over $1 million for the month of August.
Earlier this year, Sahamies was bemoaning his lack of results on the virtual felt via his blog on Coinflip.com:
"Its new year but it started like last year ended if we speak about poker.Im totally tired for poker at this moment...I play very bad but I have been unbelievable unlucky also...havent got 2 winning day in a row...maybe last 3 months and thats sick…"
Things have seemingly turned around for the Finnish phenom as of late, which is much to the delight of many railbirds, as Sahamies employs a crowd-pleasingly aggressive style that creates some very big pots and some very entertaining action.
