$100,000 Buy-in Event To Run From May 18-19

In a press release that was circulated on Monday, the World Poker Tour confirmed that a "Super High Roller" event will be running during the upcoming WPT Championship series at the Bellagio.

The "Super High Roller" event, which will run from May 18-19, will feature a buy-in of $100,000.

According to the WPT, "action from the Super High Roller Event will be televised within the WPT World Championship episodes on FSN".

Erik Seidel, Daniel Shak and Justin Smith have all reportedly confirmed their participation in the event.

May is set to be a busy (and potentially expensive) month for poker's wealthiest players.

In addition to the WPT "Super High Roller" event, Full Tilt Poker will be also be running their first "Onyx Cup Series" event in May as well, as Event #1 of the series is scheduled to begin on May 11th. The buy-in for this event is also going to be $100,000.

On top of all of that, there is the WPT Championship ($25k buy-in) and the EPT Grand Final (10k Euro buy-in), which both take place in May as well.
