A Closer Look at Ashton Griffin's Insane Endurance Running Prop Bet

The King smoking a cigarHaseeb Qureshi recently added a new post on his Cardrunners.com blog (link below) that is titled "The Million Dollar Bet, Pt. 1".

The blog posting is a pretty captivating look at the recent 70 miles in 24 hours prop bet that Ashton "theASHMAN103" Griffin successfully completed.

The post recaps how Qureshi and Griffin originally met and how the insane endurance running prop bet came to be. In addition, the blog posting gives a play-by-play account of the first 30 miles of the challenge.

In the post, Qureshi also revealed his increasing worries over Griffin's physical and mental state as the bet progressed and how Griffin's parents actually tried to intervene and stop the bet. Qureshi stood to win almost $900k if Griffin was unable to finish.

Griffin ended up winning the prop bet for $300k - if you read part 1 of "The Million Dollar Bet" and didn't already know the outcome of the bet, then you would probably think that Griffin almost certainly ended up failing in his attempt to run 70 miles in 24 hours.

It's a pretty honest and fascinating read - I've included a link below:
