-- High Stakes Poker - Season 6 --The best poker show on television (in my opinion) is set to get underway in less than a month on GSN.

The first episode of the sixth season of High Stakes Poker will air on February 14th at 8 pm. In addition, there will be two encore episodes of the show at 11 pm and 2 am.

There will be a number of changes for the sixth season of the show. Most notably, Kara Scott will be taking the place of A.J. Benza on the show. Instead of Benza and Gabe Kaplan bantering from a booth, the show will now follow a "Poker After Dark" format, in which Kaplan will be commentate on the action by himself, and Kara Scott will interview players in the "High Stakes Poker suite".

The sixth season of the show will feature some of the very best poker players in the world, including:

Phil Ivey
Tom "durrrr" Dwan
David Benyamine
Patrik Antonius
Barry Greenstein
Daniel Negreanu
Phil Hellmuth

The sixth season of the show was taped over three days in November. To get an idea of the line-up on the three days of taping, simply follow these links to Poker-King.com below:

Day 1 Line-up

Day 2 Line-up

Day 3 Line-up

Fans of Phil Ivey, Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Daniel Negreanu can rejoice, as all three players participated in all three days of taping. Given the sheer talent level of the players participating this year, season six of "High Stakes Poker" should be the most entertaining yet.

The first episode of Season 6 airs at 8 pm on February 14th, 2010.
