Satellites: A Great Way to Enter Big Events For Cheap

Have you ever been on PokerStars on a Sunday, and watched the final table of the $215, million dollar guaranteed event and wondered how you could get there? Do you look at your $85 dollar online bankroll and wish that you could play in the big event? Well look no further, because I am going to tell you about a fantastic way to enter these events for a fraction of the bankroll.
All throughout the day, PokerStars runs a wide variety of satellite tournaments into the big tournament. $3 rebuy tournaments, $22 rebuy tournaments, etc. For each $215 in the pool, a seat to the big tournament is given out. In an average $3 rebuy tournament, 10 seats are given out in total, assuming a field of around 150 people. If you allocate say, $12 for each tournament, you have to figure that you have a good shot of winning a seat in at least one of every four tournaments that you play. So instead of spending $215 on a seat, you have spent $48 dollars.
The very cool thing is that even if you don't want to play in the big Sunday event, you can unregister from the event and sell the seat for around $190 in cash. It's a great and inexpensive way to build up your bankroll.
