As I watched Shaniac polish off another final table tonight in the PokerStars $10 rebuy tournament (Shaniac took down $14k and absolutely dominated the final table, it wasn't even close), I started to ask myself. After JohnnyBax, who is the best player online right now? If I were entering a tournament, who would I least want to see sitting at my table? Some names crossed my mind. ActionJeff. BodogAri. TheBeat. Ozzy 87. But after thinking about it for a minute, I came to the conclusion that after JohnnyBax (who is head and shoulders above everyone else in my opinion), I would NOT want to be sitting at Shaniac's table under any circumstances.

Shaniac has over 62 final tables to his credit at PokerStars (according to thepokerdb.com) and has pulling in winnings of over $315k. Shaniac obviously plays other sites as well (HateitorLoveit, another of his monikers, does exceedingly well at Full Tilt Poker), but he dominates PokerStars like few other players do.

Not only that, but he's a great live tournament player as well. Don't be surprised to see Shaniac go deep into a few World Series of Poker tournaments this year. I certainly wouldn't bet against him pulling down a bracelet. He's that good.
